Our Legacy, in Memory of
Joshua, Kristen, and Daniel

Joshua, Kristen, and Daniel

Hearts of the Father Outreach celebrates 30 years of official ministry this year. We were recognized as a 501(c)(3) in 1995. The inspiration for the ministry occurred when we traveled to Ghana in 1993. This was only a year after our children, Joshua, Kristen, and Daniel went on to heaven after they died in an auto accident.

What we saw and experienced on that 1993 trip moved us to help orphaned, abandoned, and abused children. We started the JoshKrisDan home in Ghana in 1998 with eight children, rescuing some of the eight who had been sold into slavery. The home grew in numbers to 24 children. Now, all of those children have “aged out.” Some have married, most have employment. We have nurses, teachers, seamstresses, fashion designers, construction workers, and even an architect among our “graduates.”

Now we are ready to begin a new chapter. We have been asked by Ghanaian social welfare to welcome a new family of children. The home has been renovated and we are soon to have our own well with a reverse osmosis filtration system to remove salt and minerals, etc. That has been a big dream for us and a long time coming.

As Libby and I approach our “Golden” years on planet earth, we recognize the need to raise up others, and at some point, to hand off the baton. We are so grateful to God for all that He has done to help hundreds of children, through HFO and through you, our partners and faithful donors.

With the future in mind and the need so great, would you consider a gift in your will or a contribution to our Tikun Olam fund which currently has $60,000 invested. As long as we are able, we will continue to run the race and help as many children have a better life as possible. Thank you for all that you have done, and thank you for helping us ensure the next milestone will be reached. God bless you.

Dear Beloved John & Libby,

Thirty years ago, in the wake of unimaginable loss, you chose a path few could have walked. From those first army bags of toysin Grenada to the JoshKrisDanHome that now stands in Ghana, you’ve transformed the darkest winter into a perpetual spring. Josh, Kris, and Dan’s memory continues to bring life to children around the world, and the adoption of Lily brought a beautiful new chapter to your story.

The courage and faith you’ve shown in creating beauty from ashes stands as a testimony to what love in action truly means. God’s faithfulness has been evident in your journey, turning mourning into dancing and sorrow into joy. Wishing you many more years ahead that will be even more fruitful than these first thirty—the best has yet to come for Hearts of the Father Outreach and the countles slives you’ll continue to touch.
