Dear Friends,

It has now been 15 years since we started HFO and looking back, we are first amazed, then humbled and finally thankful. We have had the awesome opportunity and responsibility to help change the lives of hundreds of children. In 1995 we started with a sponsorship program for a home that was going to close in Cuernavaca, Mexico, supporting 60 children for 10 years. Then in 2000, we built a Children’s Home in Ghana, West Africa and some of our children have now completed University and are ready to start careers.

In the past we helped feed children in the Ukraine and Haiti. Today, we help care for children in India, Burkina Faso, Mozambique and Cambodia. HFO started an orphan foster program in Uganda in 1998 and today support over 100 children. We are humbled to think that we have had the privilege to minister to and help over 1 million children with gift boxes, school items, clothes and to share with them the love of God.

Finally, we are thankful for all the thousands of people who have joined with us over the years to help us accomplish our mission; rescuing orphaned, abandoned and abused children. All of you who have given time or money, who have prayed or walked, played golf or have traveled with us, share in the accomplishments. You have given children hope and joy, helped wipe away their tears and have literally saved lives.

As we look to the future we see many more children who need our help. We are committed to continue to expand our efforts and rescue more children. At this time of Thanksgiving as we celebrate with our families and friends, please remember our children with your gifts. It is the perfect way to give thanks!

With appreciation,
John and Libby Moritz
